This week in 4A:

Important dates:
Literacy Night: Thursday, September 29th from 5:30-7:30.
Read-a-thon kick off. More information to follow.
Usborne Book Fair – September 29th -October 5th
Our class will go on Thursday to preview the books.

This week in academics:
Recite “Dreams” by Langston Hughes on Wednesday. Math assessment on multiplication and division on Friday.

We will begin Prince Caspian on Monday the 26th. Please have the book for your student by then. The image of the correct book cover is in the left margin. It is important to have this one because the page numbers correspond to our reading and discussions.

You will get an email to sign up for fall conferences (10/17-10/19) tomorrow.

Treat Friday! On Sept 30th please help us build our classroom libraries. Students have the option to enjoy a frozen treat at lunch by either donating a gently used book (No pop-culture please) or bringing $1. All books will be distributed among the classrooms evenly. Thank you for the support.

If you have any questions regarding what types of books will be accepted please contact your class liaison Mira Stephenson at: mirastephenson@cox.net

Please continue reviewing phonograms and math facts with your child!

Thank You!
