WOW! Our last week of school! I can’t believe this year is almost over. I want to thank you for entrusting your child to me this year. What a blessing it has been getting to know your child and you.

We have a busy week.

On Monday, the final type-written essay (with title page and works cited page included) is due – they will also need their note cards, outline, and rough draft turned in. There is a science test and we finish reading Carry On, Mr. Bowditch.

We begin our presentations on Tuesday, they will continue through Wednesday and Thursday. Don’t forget the homemade, inexpensive souvenir. We will have a Continental Breakfast to help celebrate the end of our unit on The Revolutionary War on Wednesday morning.

The last literature test on Carry On, Mr. Bowditch will be on Wednesday.

Our final Spalding test will be on Friday.

Remember Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are early release days. The students are out at 12:30.
I will have them clean out things and bring them home each day so by Friday it should not be too overwhelming.

I hope everyone finishes strong. If there is missing work or corrections to be made, they must be turned in this week.

I will be leaving to visit my parents on May 29th-June 1st. Then my husband, daughter and I will go to Jordan on June 4th to help serve Syrians refugees there. So I will be out of the country for a couple of weeks. I will have my computer at my parents but not in Jordan, hopefully, if you need to get in touch with me, you can do it before June 4th or it will have to wait until I get back.

Thank you for helping to make this a very memorable and special year for me!!

Dear parents and students of 4A,

I want to give each of you a very hardy THANKS! You have made me feel so much appreciated and I have been blessed to have each and every one of you in my class. It has also been a blessing to get to know all the parents, as well.

I want to especially thank Mrs. Smith for her dedicated service to our class. She has put in many hours in volunteering and coordinating and I am very grateful for her service.

As we wind down the year, I want to encourage you to help your child finish strong. We still have a lot of academics left. We will be going strong all the way up to May 27th. The final week will include presentations for the history project and tests.

I’ve noticed the students are getting chattier as the end draws near and I will be reiterating the expectation of not interrupting and the need to raise hands to comment or question, again this week. There may be some extra writing until this calms down again.

We will be doing our final Galileo testing Monday.

There is a quiz on Chapters 9-16 of Carry On, Mr. Bowditch on Tuesday.

We will work on outlining the 5 paragraph essay for their Revolutionary War person and they will begin their rough draft at the end of the week. They should have enough information on their index cards to start outlining on Monday.

In math, we will continue learning about volume.

We will also continue studying the Respiratory System in science.

Thank you for entrusting your child to me, I take the responsibility seriously.
It is also a joy : )
