Dear 4A parents,

I hope you’ve had a pleasant week. I have enjoyed your children; they are such a blessing to me!

There are a few important dates coming up:
  • There isn’t school on Monday, Sept. 5th in honor of Labor Day.
  • There will be a Spalding information night on Monday, September 12, at 6:00 in the MPR. Mrs. Clouse will be leading it.
  • There will be a Singapore Math information night on Thursday, September 22, at 6:00 in the MPR and Ms. Infantolino will be leading it.

Quizzes this week: Monday – mountains, Tuesday – math (multiples and factors), Thursday – Pollyanna (Chapters 1-15), Friday – 1st Geology quiz and Spalding

I know this sounds like a lot. The halfway mark is almost here and we are in full swing with our academics. The students will receive study guides and we will go over them in class. It is important that they fill out the guides on their own (using their notes) so they are aware of what they do and do not know.

Please make sure you are checking agendas each night. I will put in missing assignments for you to check. It is important to turn in all assignments even if they are late. A “1” is better than a “0”.

Your child has been and will continue to get returned assignments that have been graded (should be in their take-home folder), please look these over and discuss what, if anything, needs to be corrected. Mrs. Ryan and I put comments on papers we have graded, please have your child learn from them and make sure any questions for understanding and/or clarification get asked.

If your child gets a “C” or below on anything, I would like them to correct it for understanding and turn it back in the next day (asking any questions in the process). When this is completed they can gain back some points.

Thank You!
