What a great time we had on field day! A special thank you
to the moms and dad who came out and helped equip, encourage, and carry things
for our class!!
As we gear up for the final quarter, there are a few things
to be aware of. We are starting a new book Carry On, Mr. Bowditch by Jean Lee
Latham, so please get this ASAP if you haven’t already. In math, we are
starting geometry and the students
will need a protractor.
This is the half circle instrument that enables you to measure angles. They are
usually less than a dollar and can be picked up almost anywhere.
I am so pleased with how well the class learned decimals.
They also did a great job on their science test on magnetism and electricity.
Their persuasive essays were really good, too : )
This week we will begin our study of the American Revolution
in history. Since we have the Science AIMS test on Thursday, we will be
reviewing some concepts in Science this week but the next week we begin a unit
on plants.
Just a few reminders:
All boys must wear a belt.
Girls must have one with
shorts or pants. Shirts must be tucked
in at all times. White socks and shoes only. Students can’t wear non-regulation
sweaters or jackets inside the building. Hair accessories must match the uniform. Girls are permitted to wear stud
earrings but no other jewelry
(except for religious purposes) and no
fingernail polish.
Please do not send
sugary snacks for snack time.
If anyone is able to donate some Band-Aids, it’d be much appreciated.
And, as always (it seems), we can use tissue. You have been so generous already
with them but, boy, do we go through them fast.
There is no school
this Friday, March 25.
Please clear out the
take-home folder. Your student can clear out all papers pertaining to Prince
Caspian, Poetry, Drama, AZ History, Chemistry, Magnetism and Electricity :
