Athletic Field Day is this
Thursday, March 10th. Students must pack a lunch for school on
Thursday as hot lunch will not be offered. Students will also be permitted to
wear athletic clothing to school on Thursday. Just as Archway provides
guidelines for dress code in the classroom, it is important to project the
image of professionalism in our athletic attire as well. Please refer to page
50 in the Family Handbook for those guidelines. Each class has a team color and
name (based on ancient Greece and surrounding city-states) so students are
encouraged to wear their class color to represent their section!
KA/3A: Red - Sparta
KB/3B: Orange - Croton
KC/3C: White - Macedonia
1A/4A: Yellow - Thebes
1B/4B: Green - Crete
1C/4C: Black - Persia
2A/5A: Blue - Athens
2B/5B: Purple - Corinth
2C/5C: Grey - Argos
We are still looking for a few
more volunteers to help organize and facilitate the athletic events. We are
also looking for anyone willing to let Archway borrow their pop-up tent for
shade or rolling coolers for water and popsicles. If you are able, please
follow this link to sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e084fada62ca2f85-athletic. Please email Coach Cook with any
questions: dcook@archwaylincoln.org. Thank you for your support!
I also need one more parent
volunteer to help out in the class during lunch and to be with us on the field
to aid with water etc. Please email me and let me know if you are available to
do this.
This quarter went by quickly.
With just a few days left, I want to make sure all missing work is turned in.
Partial credit is better than a 0, so please look in your child’s agenda to see
if anything is missing.
We will
be having a quiz on multiplying/dividing decimals on Wednesday and a test on
magnetism/electricity on Thursday.
The final typewritten 5 paragraph
persuasive essay on a tenth virtue is due on Tuesday.
We won the boxtop competition again!!!
Thank you so much for contributing! Keep collecting them, there is another
competition next quarter : )
Thanks for the tissues, we can still use
more: )
